Who cares, have you seen a little thing on A&E called Bates Motel? (⊙‿⊙✿)
Normally, I’d leap at the chance to exposit my half-baked thoughts on whatever existentialist hell Weiner and Co. have unrest on our favorite white people, but man, I don’t know. This will hardly go down as a favorite season of television, for me, let alone Mad Men. It’s been like… like if you had a sheet of coupons for McDonald’s, and it’s the last day to use them before they expire, so you forge ahead and order 5 of everything and hold the onions, gorging yourself on runny egg freeze-dried mystery meat combinations that no human being has any business consuming. By the time you’ve eaten everything, you’re fairly certain you’re slowly dying, but you’re full. And the thing is, you weren’t even hungry in the first place. But you had these coupons, you see…
That analogy makes zero sense, but this season has been a lot like that sheet of coupons: I’m watching, but I’m not really sure if I’m enjoying how its arc has been constructed, thus far. ‘68 was wild and acid-trippin’, the nation was unraveling in every aspect, and if the show appears at times to be standing on its head (last week’s fantastic episode), it’s purposeful. But it’s more of the same, and maybe that’s the point. Or maybe I’m just not that hungry. Maybe I want pizza. In the form of a cute-but-nutty motel owner with a fabulous scarf collection and boundary issues due to a horrific history of abuse. *shrug*

you know the best part about taking yourself semi-srsly at least insofar as harvesting a microblog dedicated to a dead actress that in actuality is a cleverly-constructed canopy for free thought so your creative impulses aren’t irrevocably stymied during the laborious process of Figuring Shit Out, is that sometimes other people take you semi-srsly enough to request additional information about nice things like this

………………and then you buttfuck any legitimate reputation you might have previously established by default 404-erroring about the nice thing and also anything.
